Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. I'm really no art critic, but I do know I really like this. I think it's the simplicity of it along with the contrast between the perfectly drawn lines and the not so perfectly painted circles.
