Description
One of eight statues on the Hope Memorial Bridge in Cleveland, Ohio ... entitled Guardians of Traffic ... in the art deco style .... The statues symbolize progress in transportation and the bridge is on the National Register of Historic Places. The bridge was completed in 1932. The statues were carved from
43-foot-tall slabs of local Berea sandstone. Henry Hering of New York City was the sculptor.
