Peggy Sue's is an original roadside Diner, built in 1954 with 9 counter stools and 3 booths. It sets in on the shadow of the Calico Mountains and was built from railroad ties and mortar from the nearby Union Pacific Rail yard.
Peggy Sue's 50's Diner is an original roadside Diner 10 miles north of Barstow on the I-15 Fwy at the Ghost Town Rd. exit halfway between Southern California and Las Vegas.
The perfect midway pit stop between LA and Vegas ... Peggy Sue's '50s Diner is a true gem along part of Historic Route 66. Originally built in 1954, Peggy Sue and her husband Champ brought it back to life in 1987. Peggy Sue was a celebrity featured in over 100 films and commercials and even had a song written about her ("Peggy Sue" by Buddy Holly and The Crickets), and Champ worked at Knotts Berry Farm before they decided to bring a taste of Hollywood to Yermo, California.
The diner serves food named after famous stars of the 50s such as The Patty Page patty melt...
I love working with mixed media ... but have an obsession with photography and documenting my visual experiences. My personal activities have always involved nature and practices going inward to embrace a spiritual and intuitive dimension. Note: The "Fine Art America" watermark will not appear on any purchased artwork.

Patricia, I just love this trio of fun lovers, as I remember the day, when my two friends and I used to do just this! Would love to have this scene take over an entire wall in my house, like a mural! Love it! Thanks much for sharing, my friend, as this one means a lot to me and my 2 buddies, who used to do this on week ends! A total Blast from the Past for me. Love it, and thanks for the memories! fave and vote
