Description
The Serpent's Trail, often called the "Crookedest Road in the
the World", was laid out by trailbuilder John Otto, founder of
Colorado National Monument. In less than a mile there are
over 50 switchbacks. Until 1950 it was the main route up into
the highlands; today it is a hiking trail that helps people to
appreciate the ruggedness and scale of this area in
Colorado.
